Bound

We saw the owner of these feet while visiting the Forbidden City. She must have come from a remote village, where this was done as recently as 50 or 60 years ago, as she is the only one I've seen like this. I didn't see her try to walk. I've heard this is quite painful as all of the little toes have been bound so long that the entire outer portion of the foot is completely folded under.
