Lissa and Jules

So Caden understands that Juline will not be staying with us permanently. Alyssa, however, doesn't seem to grasp this.
This afternoon, she said to me, "I love my sister, she is so pretty!"
I couldn't bring myself to correct her.

Softball Season

Tonight, softball season officially ended. We all had such fun watching the games, visiting, and playing. Great job, Calvary!

THE SHACK

I am spent, but I am energized. I feel wrung out, but I am hugely filled. I know I'm loved IMMENSELY by God, and He delights in me. And in you. Read this and you'll know it too.

Nappers

I came to awaken Caden a few days ago, and thought he looked cute. Of course, I thought, I'll do a post of both of them napping. So I went in to take a picture of Alyssa sleeping. As you can see, she was no longer sleeping. Here is her trying to look asleep.
What a good actress.
Its so hard to keep the eyes closed when they want to open!

Tucked in Tales

I said to Caden as I tucked him in tonight, "Do you know how much I love you, Bud?"

He nodded. "Mom, you don't have to keep telling me that, because I know you'll love me forever and ever and ever. But I guess you can if you want to, though."

I want to.

Happy Girl

We went this morning for Juline's 1 month post-operative visit.
The doctor was very pleased with how she is doing! Her head went down 1 cm! Her body is loosening up, too. When we got her, she was very rigid, which is typical of babies with hydrocephalus. After surgery, when fluid starts circulating through their spinal column again, they tend to loosen.

It is much easier to get this look out of her now than it was when we got her - she is so happy!

The doctor said she can probably return home after next month's appointment if all continues to go well.

What? You mean I have to give her back? :)
