Ode to Cheese

If I speak in the tongues of the dietary masters, but do not have cheese, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of creating interesting vegan meals and can fathom all the ways of using soy protein, and if I have no desire for meat products, but do not have cheese, I am nothing.

If I give up all sugar and desserts and give over my body to the hardships of healthy eating, but do not have cheese, I gain nothing.   Cheese is wonderful, cheese is good.  It does not go bad, it is not tiresome, it fills you up.

OhMyWord, Sarah Davis, you are hilarious!!! This completely makes me forgive you for owning a ridiculous number of pairs of jeans and for making me never want to wear jeans in front of you again for how you will scrutinize them in ways I have considered for negative ten seconds of my life.
To this post I say Yes! Yes! Yes! A resounding yes! It is the lack of dairy products that makes veganism (is that a thing?) an abomination! In defense of my argument? The Old Testament and the promise of a land flowing with -- what was it?-- MILK and honey. Not soy milk, mind. Not coconut milk. These aren't really milks, anyway.

Yes, this is a good post, and a clever post, and TRUE.

Thank you.
