Monday

We're home from a great time in Beijing! Before I post those pictures, here are some from Monday before we left.

Monday morning, we had 'birthday in the glen for Gwen'. New sand toys!
Madelyn and Gwen tried them out right away!

Then we went to a very large park with some other families. This park had trails, woods, rivers, soccer fields, a lake, paintball, archery, an amusement park, horseback rides, a zipline, etc. etc. We didn't come close to seeing all of it.

Lynne and I in the fresh spring woods.

Lots of good climbing trees.

Redbud trees

Many, many willows

We must have seen 40 or 50 different brides and grooms getting pictures taken. Some of them may have been models, but its also very common to go to a park on a nice day to get pics taken...not on their wedding day.

....and that evening, we took the Maglev to the airport, a very fast train that usually goes 431 km/hour. But apparently after dark, it doesn't go as fast. Shann's feelings about our speed.

I'm not sure what they were - neither of us really recognized them!
